   Dave entered the insurance industry in 1974. Dave started as an agent of Aetna Life & Casualty immediately after graduation from the University of Minnesota. During his 5 plus years with Aetna Dave gained valuable experience and received industry and company awards. Some of these awards were GAMC Agent of the Year (2 times), National Sales Achievement Award (5 times), and Million Dollar Round Table (4 times).
   In 1979, Dave accepted an offer from Phoenix Mutual as their branch manager in Seattle Washington in charge of the Pacific Northwest territory. Upon returning to Minnesota, Dave joined a large independent agency as their employee benefits department manager. Dave specialized in estate and business continuation planning and group insurance and was one of the first to offer to small and medium sized companies services such as cafeteria plans, self funded medical and dental plans as well as 401K plans. He also was a state qualified instructor in the areas of self-funding and cafeteria plans.
   In 1986, Dave founded EMEX Benefit Systems, Inc. EMEX was established with the idea that quality service and an advocacy approach will create long-term relationships and satisfied customers.
   Currently Dave is actively involved in MAHU (Minnesota Association of Health Underwriters) as a board member, Treasurer, and as a member of it's legislative committee.  MAHU is seeking ways to make Obamacare more friendly to employers and benefit professionals.
   His most recent endeavor is in the Medical Travel industry.  Forming a company that specializes in the business of coordinating international medical travel with the purpose of providing quality medical and dental care at a substantial cost savings.
Dave enjoys the respect of his peers and is continually exploring new employee benefit strategies.

   Ginny is a part owner and has been with EMEX since its inception. Ginny graduated with a degree in Traffic Management in 1980. She was traffic manager for a large computer hardware company for several years before deciding to spend a few years with her children.
   In 1986, she joined Dave in opening their agency. Since that day, Ginny has been in charge of overall operations of the agency. She continues to come up with strategies to make the agency operate more efficiently and to help our clients to navigate the benefits world.
